Piano K@

I had a lot of fun taking pictures of Katt. She was very, very good at piano. She has been playing for seven years. It made me realize that I should have kept up with piano. I played when I was younger. I think I did a good job with this project. I like the elegant piano combined with Katt's style.

If you try this again, try getting in really close on the hands- the hands are what makes the piano player. This is especially true if they are playing an intense piece- their hands show it. Also, maybe try focusing on the face while playing. I saw one series where they put the camera on top of the TV while people are playing video games- then photographed their facial reactions while playing- REALLY cool stuff, I think something like this would work for musicians as well. Nice shooting.

Something to think about...

"The point of life is not to get anywhere—it is to notice that you are, and have always been, already there. You are, always and forever, in the moment of pure creation. The point of life is therefore to create—who and what you are, and then to experience that." -Neale Donald Walsch
